I actually have some items from a previous silhouette series that hi have had around three - four years and that they show no wear. I think sturdiness could be a key with luggage--and these actually are sturdy. within the past, i might attempt to get by with buying cheaper baggage and within the finish would realize that i had to interchange it as a result of it wasn't durable-it would get holes or zippers would break, etc. The zippers on the Silhouette are high of the road zippers to maximise their life.
